...(je poursuis le titre) dans une plage de vent la plus large possible.

On voit beaucoup de profile d'aile et de fuselage très différent les uns des autres.
Je me demande quel serait le profil le plus polyvalent dont le ratio contrôle/ vitesse serait le plus performant quelque soit les conditions sans être obligé de devoir choisir entre 3 fuselages, 3 ailes avant et arrière avant chaque sessions.
J'ai un F4 et j’apprécie de devoir choisir seulement entre 2 ailes et rajouter un petit réglage. Mais tout est perfectible...

Les innovations actuelles vont dans le bon sens: Les ailes avant ont été avancé sur le fuselage pour plus de portance, certains intègrent même le fuselage a l'aile pour une rigidité renforcée. Quelle serait la position idéale du mat par rapport au fuselage pour une portance plus équilibrée. Son inclinaison également a de l'importance.
L'aile de la mouette semble avoir dessiné nos ailes avant par mimétisme de dame nature. Mais on doit pouvoir encore jouer sur des micro détails... pour gratter des micros noeuds.
En résumé on pourrait surement optimiser l'équilibre de chaque éléments du foil pour réduire les surfaces de frottement.

Pour moi ça a beaucoup à voir avec la polaire de l'aile / du profil / de l'ensemble aile-stab sur une grande plage d'angles et de vitesses...

I do 12 to 25+ knots (last session 35 in the gusts, a friend was out with 4.1 and a 100 freestyle board with fin with similar weight) with my F-One Levo 900carbon and 4.9, due to the very well worked out twist pattern towards the tip the position of the power just does not move, and the lift stays the same over a wide speedrange. I think there's no foil out there on the market today with a wider range of use and would encourage you to try. Also, 30+ knots top speed is easily achievable with this freeride wing, but thats absolutely not at the expense of control.

Your 4.9 must be a slalom cam sail I guess for the proper stability.

It is amazing that you have the same lift with such a 20 nts wide range of wind.

Just one more last request. How long is you fuselage?

My 4.9 is a 4-batten wavesail and theres no trim option on the stab (well shimming ofcourse). The power does not move, therefore no depower on the stab is really needed if the foil and board are balanced together.

In my understanding, Slingshot wings have the same feature, twist, to get a similar lift accross the wind range. I don't know if there are others (AFS and Horue don't).

However it adds some drag, so potentially reduces the top speed fro a fixed sail force.

Sorry JMF, but Horue has little twist on the wings and evolutive profile all along the lengh :!:
